Janet Devlin Will Miss Grandfather's Funeral For X Factor

16 year old X Factor hopeful Janet Devlin from Tyrone found out this week that her Grandfather tragically passed away on Wednesday night, and will miss his funeral, which has been arranged for Saturday, the same day she is due to perform in London on the X Factor live shows.

Her fellow X Factor contestants have rallied round her in the X Factor Mansion to keep her spirits up after having to make such an agonising decision, with Sami Brookes offering to move out of their shared room to give Janet privacy.

An X Factor source told press, "Janet's grandfather passed away yesterday evening and the funeral is taking place on Saturday.

"Janet discussed the situation with her parents and it was decided that she should remain in the competition this weekend and not attend the funeral.

"Janet's grandfather was so proud of her and loved to listen to her sing, Janet and her family knew that he would want her to perform this weekend."

On last weekend's show, Janet performed her version of Coldplay's Fix You, which prompted Louis Walsh to respond, "You’ve got Celtic soul and you’ve got the voice of an angel.  She’s what this show is all about - new, raw talent!"

Tulisa added, "You are just as memorising now and when I first saw you. Everytime I see you I’m just speechless, your vocals are amazing."

Gary Barlow said, "You are totally a one off and unique talent and you were amazing."

Janet's new look has divided public opinion.  She said of her makeover, "I heard all these guys talking about the makeovers and stuff and I said I bet you they are gonna dye my hair ginger and when they told me.. I was like....I was cool."

She said after last week's show, "I’m from a small village, quite literally it’s in the middle of nowhere, it’s pretty bleak.

"Because of where I live, I do spend a lot of time by myself in my room, reading, writing and singing.

"The reason why I haven’t been out singing is probably the lack of confidence, it’s a lot easier to sing in the house than it is to sing in front of an audience."

It would appear that Halloween has come early for X Factor hopeful Kitty Brucknell as she steps out in this rather garish looking outfit.  Now that's what we call a pair of proper hooker boots!

The 26 year old talent show hopeful used to impersonate Lady Gaga, as well as Britney Spears, and it seems she has been digging in her old dress up box again to put together this horrendous fashion failure.

Kitty told her followers on twitter today; "@rhythmixoffic I wannabe the 5th member of ur group!! Love this band! They are all @britneyspears fans too!!! :)"

The acts who made it to the final 16 of this year's X Factor have recorded a cover of 'Wishing on a Star', a charity single which will be released as a download on November 20th.  Proceeds will go to ACT and Children's Hospices UK.

Jodie Marsh Has Found An Unlikely New Love... Bodybuilding!

Shortly after leaving a radio interview in London tonight, Jodie Marsh decided to show her new rock solid sick pack, which she has achieved by spending up to eight hours a day in the gym, almost daily for the past few months.  She has even already competed and placed fifth in a professional bodybuilding contest.

Jodie, 32, was talking about her new career on Nick Grimshaw's radio show in the BBC studios tonight after spending the last week doing countless magazine, television and radio interviews all over the UK.  She even came to Ireland to appear on the Late Late Show last weekend to discuss her latest projects.

While she may have public opinion divided, the former glamour model is thrilled with her toned physique.  She told press, "I feel amazing.  I'm buzzing every day.  I can't believe its my body.  Even when i look at pictures of myself, I think, "Is that really my stomach?"

Conspiracy Theorists Say Beyonce Is FAKING Pregnancy!

Beyonce is at the center of the most ridiculous story of the year so far. There are rumours currently circulating the internet surrounding the controversial television appearance on talk show 'Sunday Night' in America, in which Beyonce appears to have a miraculous folding bump.

And from certain angles, you could be fooled into thinking she has a pillow up there!  But watch the video back and you realise that it's just the crease in her oversized maternity dress as she bends to take a seat.

Is Two And A Half Men Really The Same Without Charlie?

With the premier of the new series of Two and a Half Men out of the way, there is a whole lot of buzz around the hot comedy show now that Charlie Sheen has been replaced by Ashton Kutcher.  The CBS sitcom had a record breaking 28.7 million viewers on the first show of the season.

Sheen's character on the show, Charlie Harper was killed off by the show producer Chuck Lorre.  He decided to get rid of Sheen due to his alcohol and drug binges and increasingly erratic behaviour.  In order to kill off Charlie's character, tonight's show saw him being ran over by a subway train. 

Fans of the show are divided as to whether or not they think that Sheen could ever be replaced on the show, but producers have given Kutcher's character many of the same qualities that made Charlie Harper so popular.  That's right, they've made him a womanizing drunk with lots of money.  Ashton appeared on the show as an internet billionaire unsuccessful in a suicide attempt over a crumbled relationship

Lady Gaga Wastes Perfectly Good Champagne

Pictured is Lady Gaga pouring champagne out before she left the Monday night football game at East Rutherford, New Jersey.  She enjoyed the football game with friends in style, wearing a rather formal dress for such an event, but topped off her outfit with a Giants baseball cap.

Last summer, Gaga flipped off reporters at a Mets game and just last week she was banned from the club house of the New York Yankees for getting a little over the top at the Yankee's stadium.

'Titanic' The Mini Series Is On The Way

Neve Campbell will star in the drama

Titanic Blood and Steel is a drama series being planned for early next year starring Kevin Zegers, Chris Noth, Derek Jacobi and Neve Campbell.  Campbell will be the reporter who is covering the story of Titanic's maiden voyage in the show.

Zegers is going to play a meallurgist who discovers flaws in the metals and materials which were being used to build the Titanic, while Noth plays financier JP Morgan and Jacobi will play Lord William Pirrie in the show.

The show has been planned to co-incide with the the 100 year anniversary of the famous tragedy which saw 1,517 people lose their lives.  The ship cost an astonishing $7,500,000 to build which in today's money would be more like half a billion dollars!
